SPRING IS IN GEELONG! Time to Freshen Up With New Interior Design Ideas

October 9, 2017

No more cold mornings, no more winter frosts. Spring is here and it’s time to freshen up our homes with new interior design ideas. This is the time we get the urge to organise our homes, from cleaning to de cluttering, to renovating, to filling our homes with colour and fragrance. Flowers and candles are great way to improve the ambiance of your home. My favourite candle scent is French pear I just love this fragrance, it’s a beautiful scent that is not over powering.

Make sure you visit your local home-ware store and treat yourself and your home to a fresh spring make over. You might want to start with your bedlinen if it’s getting old and tired. Adding a punch of colour to your bedroom or a new pattern doona cover will freshen up the space. This season you will notice lots of dusty pink and coral-toned pink with masala-reds and cool neutrals. With this colour scheme, navy blue has a place, too. You might want to add these beautiful colours to your bedroom or spice up your living space. I just love a beautiful rug under foot in bedrooms, layering with decorative cushions and finishing off the look with new artwork and accent lighting to suit the space. Creating a cosy nook in your bedroom can be perfect for those days you just want to kick back with your favourite book.

I find having a fresh new look to your bedroom or living space really makes a difference to your mood. If you’re lacking time to get to all the nooks and crannies with cleaning maybe think about hiring a cleaner to give your home a thorough spring clean of the interior and exterior which will really give your home the lift it needs.

I love the feeling of spring with the birds chirping, cherry blossoms blooming and the sun on the skin. My mum used to clean everything and I always loved the feeling that spring was here and our house would have a completely different feel about it. As they say home is where the heart is, we want our client’s hearts to sing when we work with them on interior design and interior styling projects.

If your home doesn’t make your heart sing then it’s time to get stuck in and create the home you love and connect the spaces so they all have a meaning. You want your home to be a place that everyone enjoys especially in the spring/summer months ahead.

Enjoy your spring makeover!
