Styling a beautiful Christmas

Christmas is such a special time of year, and while the tree and the presents seem to get most of the attention especially when there are children in the midst; the Christmas table is a beautiful feature to your gathering. Here are a few suggestions you might like to follow this year when styling your Christmas feast.

Styling a beautiful table for Christmas:

• Firstly start by adding an ironed white or natural linen table cloth to set the scene.
• Then choose a colour theme it may be green/white/silver, silver/white, white/hot pick or white/natural.
• Add a personalised card with your guests names placed at each setting.
• Add a plate in your chosen colour theme to the base. If it’s silver/white add a silver plate on the base. Then layer your entrée and desert bowl on top.
• By layering your plates allows for more room on the table for food, wine glasses and champagne flutes.
• Decorate your cutlery or napkins with your chosen ribbon or natural foliage working to your theme. Search your garden and home for pieces to add. I always love fresh herbs on the table especially rosemary for greenery.
• Think about your centre piece. Did you want to look at beautiful glass and silver xmas trees or maybe beautiful baubles in your chosen colour theme. Try to keep the centre piece at a height that allows your guests to have a conversation without having to stand up to have a conversation and see each other.
• Style your chairs with your chosen colour theme cushions or if your chairs are rustic and your wishing to create the relaxed rustic/french style Christmas then they will be perfect as they are.
