We often get asked what makes a property stand out on the market, especially in Geelong. There are a number of factors that are really important before buyers look at location, street appeal, number of living spaces, is the kitchen modern or tired, is the back yard level and do the entertaining spaces flow out to a level grassed or decking area.

Important factors to take into account with residential property styling in Geelong include:

  • interior/exterior colours
If weather board, what is the condition of the paint work or when did you last paint your home? Are the paint colours in keeping with current trends?
  • kitchen and bathroom
What is the condition of your kitchen? Are the cupboard doors showing wear? Has the water leached not the cupboard doors and what is the bench top quality like?
  • flooring
What is the carpet like, is it new or showing fading or needing repair? If you have floorboards, what is the flooring quality like?

When renovating, think long term. What’s the key features of your property and how can you make these a key focus?
