GEELONG INTERIOR DESIGNER SHARING CLEVER WAYS TO ELIMINATE CLUTTER

February 6, 2017

Now is the time to start off the New Year with limited or no clutter. De cluttering every area of your home with a clever interior design is so satisfying. It will not only make you feel more organised it will save you time, money and energy.

  • Choose a room at a time in your home and throw away, donate to charity, or sell items that are not required.
  • Look at good storage systems especially for toys, shoes, clothes, magazines, jewellery etc.
  • When your children bring home artwork from school file or cleverly eliminate what they don’t need. Excess clutter items that may be taking up space on your kid’s desks and work tables can be cleverly disposed of!
  • Instead of cluttering your floor with everything you own try thinking about utilising shelving units. You could use baskets and label these, when putting items away that are rarely used keep them up high as possible.
  • Living in a cluttered space can make you less productive, irritable, unorganised and frustrated that you have nowhere to put anything. Instead turn this around and create a home that has good storage systems, plenty of open spaces, lots of light and less clutter.
  • If every day you spent half an hour going through old newspapers, bills, mail etc the more productive you will become.

Happy organising and enjoy this refreshing start to the year.
